As a small lot coffee from one of the world’s best Gesha producers in El Salvador this anaerobic Gesha is a special coffee. It builds on its already delicious Gesha attributes and adds a very special finishing touch that comes with the anaerobic process. The aroma hits you first and the funky fruit flavors that follow add what we all expect from this caliber of coffee.
The beautiful family run El Carmen Estate is located in the Santa Ana mountains in Western El Salvador. They process both coffee cherries from their own orchards as well as surrounding farms. The wet mill is a well run facility that also has capacity for honey, natural and washed coffees.
Don Fernando and his family have owned and been operating El Carmen since 1920. Elevation is 1350 masl. Notes of jasmine, black tea, patchouli, and caramel.
