Our History

2012 - California Coffee Culture

Ben and Kina Wilde discover their first specialty/third wave coffees in SoCal and the Bay Area (Verve Coffee in Santa Cruz and Intelligentsia in Pasadena)

2013 - North American Coffee Travels

Ben and Kina travel the U.S. and Canada to visit the limited but growing roasters and multi-roaster cafes that purvey specialty / third wave coffee.

2014 - San Francisco Home Roasting

The Wildes begin roasting green coffee sourced from Bay Area roasters using a Whirly-Pop popcorn maker on their stove top. Down the coffee roasting rabbit hole....

2020 - San Francisco, Pacifica Renew Is Established

After enjoying green sourced from Royal Coffee and Sweet Marias the Wildes move forward with the idea to develop farm relationships and start importing specialty green coffee.

2021 - Chinatown LA, Asian Coffee Roastery

Pacifica Renew HQ stays in SF, while the Wildes move to Chinatown L.A., roasting and selling Yunnan coffee from their home, then a small space on Chung King Road.

2023 - Southern Utah, Quichapa Coffee Roastery

Pacifica Renew expands to a 900 sq ft facility in Southern Utah, improving shipping efficiency. Quichapa Coffee, a second roastery in Cedar City, focuses on Asian coffee imports.
